    Adoption Procedures

To adopt a dog or cat from us, we have procedures in place to ensure our animals are going to a good home.

The first step is to visit the shelter and see if any of the animals seem to fit your personality and lifestyle.

The second step is to fill out an application. If you would like to see the application now, or perhaps print it so you can fill it out and bring it with you to the shelter, then please click on one of the links below. (Please note: You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader; most likely, your web browser already has it.)

  • Cat application
  • Dog application
  • From the completed application, we complete a vet reference and if that is positive, we arrange a visit to your home.

With the home visit, we are looking to provide you with helpful information to make a smooth transition for you and the animal.

Once all these steps are completed(the process usually takes a few days) and the adoption is approved, you can come pick up the animal.

The adoption fee for a dog is $100 and for a cat is $75.

For surrender of dog spayed or neutered it is $75.00; for surrender of unspayed or non-neutered dog is $100.00. Surrender fee for spayed or neutered cat is $50.00. Surrender fee for unspayed and non-neutered male is $75.00

Have a question about adoption? Or interested in one of the loving animals on this site? Give us a call at the phone number in the left hand column or email us. We would love to help you in any way we can!
